Body & Mind

In jiu-jitsu a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique. You need to be fit, but you also need to use your mind to engage in the chess match that is jiu-jitsu. The best jiu-jitsu practitioners will keep a calm, clear head while physically exerting their body to the limits.

Self Confidence

Nothing builds self-confidence like jiu-jitsu. It doesn’t matter how big or small you are, if you’re male or female. If you learn to the timeless art of jiu-jitsu you will carry yourself with a quiet confidence that cannot be shaken.


By its very nature jiu-jitsu creates a sort of family among its practitioners. During jiu-jitsu sessions you will engage in combat with your fellow jiu-jitsu students as you grapple for position and try to choke and submit each other. However, the second the session is over everyone will smile, shake hands, and give high-fives. The work you do together forms a bond that creates an unbreakable brotherhood.

More Muscle

There’s nothing like a 90-minute jiu-jitsu session to build muscle and burn fat. You will use muscles you didn’t even know you had, and sweat more than you have in your entire life. Within just a few months your body will transform into a lean and muscular jiu-jitsu machine.
